Kim’s Taekwondo – White Belt Expectations

White Belt Expectations

Students wishing to promote from White Belt to Gold Belt must demonstrate their knowledge and skills. Below are the items White belts will be tested on.

Terminology

Youth (13 ad under) Ages 14+ (includes Youth List)
Main School Rules

  1. Bow to the flag and instructor when entering and leaving school.
  2. Arrive on time. If late wait for permission to enter class.
  3. No running or horseplay.
  4. Be respectful. Say “ma’am” or “sir” when talking to black belts.

Basic #1


Self-Defense

Students can be asked to demonstrate one or more self-defense techniques.


Board Break

Front kick in air, followed by a side kick to break the board.

Step Side kick or jumping side kick is allowed for youth (under 13) who struggle to break the board.
